I saw a video where the guy said he goes into every year asking one question:
“How do I beat last year?”
At first it sounded a little cliché, but the more I thought about it, the more useful it felt. Not in a “do everything bigger” way, but in a focused way.
What would it look like to beat last year in the areas that actually matter to you?
Health. Time with people you care about. Your craft. Your money. Your own personal standards.
You don’t need a perfect plan or a long list of resolutions. Just get clear on what “beating last year” means for you, pick a few things that move the needle, and start stacking days.
That’s it.

I lost my dog, my wife, my job, and my housing in 2025. Aught to be a small task to conquer the nightmare that was last year.

Love this thank you! My goal is to make art like a curious, non judgmental child. And not look at the news so much :)
