As the year is coming to a close, some people are thinking about goals for 2026. One thing I’ve learned is focusing on the outcome isn’t the best way to accomplish things. It’s good to have an outcome in mind, but the day-to-day habits are what will get you there.

What habits do you need to form in order to get where you want to go? More importantly, what kind of person do you need to become to get them done? There’s a story in the book Atomic Habits about a woman who lost 100 lbs by forming the habit of asking herself, “What would a healthy person do?” and then doing those things.

By asking herself that question before making decisions, she eventually became a healthy person. So whether you want to get in better shape, learn an instrument, or be more responsible with your money, it’s the habits and becoming that person that will get it done.

Last thing: we have a week left of 2025. Would that person wait until January 1st, or would they start right now?

2026 Im locking in. Done with the wishful thinking that things will just happen for better.
Im work on myself being more people oriented in aspects of listening and communicating with others.
Open up a bit to new things. Stop limiting myself to what was or has been.
Setting a few personal targets that will test learning a few new things.
Really just gone make the move to make things happen to better myself and others around me. Dropping some older habits that havent helped me progress wealth wise.
