Something that I can’t really prove, but I believe to be true, is your subconscious mind will give you signs when you’re not living up to your potential. Lately, I’ve been having a bit of trouble sleeping—mainly I wake up around 3am with my mind racing. It’s always random, rapid-fire thoughts.
As I’m brainstorming trying to find solutions to this problem, it dawned on me. I think it’s my own mind giving me signs that I’m slipping up. Not working with the level of focus required to accomplish my business goals, not eating as healthy as I could be and not exercising enough.
I know when I’m sleeping good, it’s when these things are all dialed in. It feels like most stress, anxiety and sleeping issues tend to come around when I’m not living up to the standards that I set for myself. There will always be stress, but it’s far less when my program is on point.

Honestly this started happening to me in my 40’s. Id wake up at 3 am in full blown anxiety, wondering what was the purpose of it all….As a woman at least I’d say it’s completely hormonal, although exacerbated by life troubles, financial concerns or stressors like not a great marriage (I had them all). It’s the root of the mid-life crisis. No one talks about it. No one prepares you for it. I do t wish anyone to go it alone. I got professional help, maybe yours isn’t that intense, but don’t let your ego talk you into thinking you’re not working hard enough or focused enough. Despite your bus name, you’re not a machine. 💖
