In these messages, we talk about being productive, but sometimes there’s a stuck feeling that’s hard to shake. It’s hard to be productive in those states, so we need tools to snap us out of it.

Here are some that work for me.

Shifting Your Energy
I picked this up from a Joe Dispenza video and it actually works. If you’re feeling stressed, angry, fearful, or whatever energy is holding you back, try this.
1. Become aware of your current state. Name it, identify it.
2. Interrupt the pattern by standing up, shake out your body, take some deep breaths.
3. Feel the emotion you want to feel. Tell yourself that you want to feel motivated, happy, or whatever. Since you know how those things feel, try to imagine yourself feeling like that. It may take some time, but you can shift into that energy with practice.

Box Breathing
This is a simple technique that you can use to force your body into a more relaxed state and calm stress down. It’s simply breathing in for four seconds, holding for four seconds, then breathing out for four seconds. Repeat a few times and see how you feel. When I wake up stressed at 3 a.m., this always helps.

Power List
This is a simple tool I learned from Andy Frisella. It’s just writing down five critical tasks that move your life forward. They can be business/work related, diet, exercise, or habits you want to create. Whatever things you know you need to do to make your life better. Do this every day and you’ll see the compounding effects of making progress day after day.

Hopefully those are helpful 👊
