A lot of things are never tried due to fear of losing or failing. Imagine if every sports team quit after they lost a game. To me that feels equivalent to the rest of us giving up on ideas after a couple of losses. In a lot of ways, losing is a good thing.

Without losses, the most valuable lessons will be missed. Every time something doesn’t work out, it puts us on a path that may be exactly what we need. Sometimes the biggest fear is public losses.

We don’t want to try something because we may be embarrassed if it doesn’t work out. What will people think? First, who gives a shit. Second, if you really care what they think, imagine what they’ll think when they see you fall, then get right back into it.

That’s inspiring shit. It helps people realize losing is not the end—it’s a stepping stone to winning.
