Our minds want to keep us comfortable. There is a part of the book The Untethered Soul that talks about how our comfort zone is like a cage. The closer we get to the bars, the more our minds want to resist and keep us locked in.
In order to make real progress, we have to go through struggle, hardship, stress, and sometimes even physical pain. That’s the price of moving forward. Sure, you can make some progress without pain, but making big moves requires it.
Rather than dreading the hardship, let’s embrace it. The harder it is, the better it’ll be when we get there.
