Discipline beats motivation all day every day. Motivation is great when we have it. Every now and then we get fired up and knock out everything we need to do with little effort. What about all the times when we aren’t motivated? I know for me, those times are a lot more frequent.

It's discipline that moves you forward when motivation isn't there. We've all experienced times when we know what we need to do, but it's the last thing we want to do. Doing it anyway is how you build discipline.

I see it as both a skill and a habit. Every time you 'do it anyway', you're cultivating that as a habit. The more you build on that, the more the skill of discipline develops. What's one thing you're putting off because you're waiting for motivation?

That’s just being a procrastinator that’s been holding me back my entire life if you have discipline enough to not be a procrastinator you might get somewhere
