I came across this quote from James Clear recently: “Every action you take is a vote for the type of person you wish to become.” from his book Atomic Habits. It’s been a while since I read this book, but the concept is pretty clear. Your habits create the person you are.
If you want to become something different, you’ll need new habits. Every time you follow through, it’s a vote toward becoming that person. I know the days that feel the best for me are the ones where I did the things I know will move me forward.
The basics for me are exercising, eating healthy, reading, meditating, and getting my five critical tasks done for my business. If all those boxes are checked off, the day feels like a win. What are the habits that move you forward?
